Meditation & Breath to Restore Energy
Seems almost everyone I know is experiencing some sort of turmoil or huge transformation right now. In this time of need, it’s even more important to center ourselves and clear our minds, so I created a 4 minute meditation just for that purpose.
I’ve included the basic Ujjayi Breath here, but with the specific goal of consciously drawing in and retaining more prana, or vitality. Not only does this strengthen and shore up our boundaries and sense of self, it helps us replenish our reservoir when the tank feels empty.
The breath practice is open-ended, meaning that you can easily continue for a longer duration than given here. If things are really rough, I suggest doing this practice a minimum of 3 days a week, and as often as twice daily (just after waking and before sleeping are great times). Note: Practice on an empty stomach!
