Handstand: Learn How to Fall Safely (VIDEO)
There are many things we can do in our yoga practice to learn to balance in handstand. But, before we even get there, a whole lot of falling happens. Knowing how to fall safely is key to exploring Handstand, learning to balance away from a wall and having fun in the process.
The best way to fall is, essentially, to do a cartwheel. The key movement (the one that keeps you from landing on your back!) is a quick weight shift that allows you to rotate your pelvis so you can kick your feet down in a windmill action.
